Adopted: Rico goes homes.
Hopeful Hearts received a ton of applications for Rico and after weeding through them, we met with someone who was, hands down, the absolute best match.
Unlike other adoptions, I was very paranoid with this one. Although I know there's no such thing as perfect, I wanted it to be the perfect adoption. But then I became paranoid that my paranoia would somehow backfire. Thankfully that wasn't the case.
I grilled Rico's adopter and asked her all kinds of questions, and in the end, like they always do - Rico chose his person. It didn't hurt that he found the snack drawer during the initial meet 'n greet.
It feels like Rico was barely even here, but that's a good thing because when we drove off, he didn't even look back.
Here's to Rico for finally finding his real forever home.

Nope, no ugly crying. The fact that he was in no way attached to us helped that.
